Professor Julie Comerford studies galaxy mergers, AGN, and gravitational waves. She works on galaxy and supermassive black hole properties and their implications for the gravitational waves produced by binary supermassive black holes detectable by pulsar timing arrays and LISA. She also uses dual AGN and offset AGN to trace AGN feeding in galaxy mergers, and AGN outflows to study feedback effects between an AGN and its host galaxy.
