Five ��ɫ��Ƶ faculty members have been selected to join the Office for Outreach and Engagement’s Community Perspectives program—a professional development program offering each cohort the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills as publicly and community-engaged scholars.

This semester the new cohort will participate in on-campus workshops about public and community-engaged scholarship and be able to attend annual conference in Denver. In June, the cohort and Office for Outreach and Engagement staff members will travel to Pueblo, Trinidad and La Junta to explore project ideas with community members identified through the . Afterwards, faculty members will be able to apply for project seed funding and access support from the office about partnership and project development. 

“We know many faculty members are interested in developing work in Pueblo and rural areas in Southeast Colorado. Community Perspectives helps to introduce our faculty to places and people, while also providing support about best practices of engaged scholarship,” said Associate Director Jeanne McDonald. “Our office’s team and the first cohort have been building relationships in this part of Colorado, and we hope those efforts enable the second cohort to further deepen connections to ��ɫ��Ƶ.”
