Our Thanksgiving break classes explore STEM in a number of ways – through looking at how science keeps us healthy and safe, by learning how science impacts our favorite fall treats, and by exploring the exciting world of codable drones! Winter break is right around the corner, and Science Discovery is celebrating with a couple of chilly-themed classes for those in grades K-5. These full-day, two-day classes explore the Arctic and winter solstice science, giving participants better insight into what they can expect from Mother Nature at this time of year. Ìý
STEM Pathfinder Programs are two-week immersive experiences for high school students (rising 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students) designed to explore diverse fields within biosciences or engineering at ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ.Ìý
Each participating ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ department hosts high school students for two days, where they'll get an opportunity to dive in to hands-on activities, join lab tours, and engage in conversations with faculty and students. STEM Pathfinder Department Guides spearhead development and facilitation of their department's experience with support from Science Discovery staff.
