Through the fall semester, campus officials are providing weekly updates, including stats and items of note. In this issue: sources of transmission, dashboard updates, contact tracing information and more.

The University of Colorado Board of Regents recently heard updates on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, as well as fall enrollment numbers. The board recognized 2019 Distinguished Professor David Korevaar, revised three regent policies and more.

The Diversity and Inclusion Summit on Nov. 10 will include a discussion of "So you want to talk about race" by Ijeoma Oluo. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the text and its powerful themes. Prior familiarity with the book, while encouraged, is not required.

Please join CIRES virtually on Wednesday, Sept. 16, to celebrate Konrad Steffen’s life and contributions. Koni served as CIRES' director from 2005–12 and was a member of the geography department faculty.

The ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ Police Department is one of Colorado’s first to train in ICAT, a training that provides officers with the tools they need to successfully and safely defuse a range of critical incidents.
