<p>Three tours held during the fall semester took 59 students to the Territorial Correctional Facility, Colorado State Penitentiary, and Arrowhead Correctional Center to learn about the criminal justice system, prison facilities, and inmates.</p>
<p>CU-Boulder senior Joel Jones says he鈥檚 been interested in the environment since he was a kid. He started getting serious about it in high school, where in one of his classes he learned about buildings that were designed with the environment in mind. That class helped propel his interest into a career path.</p>
<p>鈥淚 didn鈥檛 know about environmental engineering until I came here to CU, and once I learned about it, I decided to make it my focus for my undergraduate career,鈥 said Jones, who will graduate on Dec. 21 with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering.</p>
