    <p>This morning, AEG Live announced that Dead & Company (three of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead, touring with John Mayer and others) will play two shows at Folsom Field on July 2 and 3.</p>
  • <p>The first multi-stall, all-gender restroom in the University Memorial Center will open in February. Located in the UMC鈥檚 second floor northwest wing, the all gender restroom was first proposed by the UMC Board, a branch of CU Student Government and the governing board of the UMC, in 2011.</p>
  • <p>As the new year begins, university personnel are reminded to complete a Disclosure of External Professional Activities (DEPA) in order to meet conflicts of interest disclosure requirements. A 2016 DEPA is required of all faculty and other designated groups. In general, those other groups include all research personnel, staff who support department compliance reporting processes, and students engaged in research (i.e. all personnel responsible for the design, conduct, or reporting of research).</p>
  • <p>The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recently initiated an聽<a href="http://www.cpsc.gov/en/About-CPSC/Chairman/Kaye-Biography/Chairman-Kayes-Statements/Statements/Statement-from-the-US-CPSC-Chairman-Elliot-F-Kaye-on-the-safety-of-hoverboards/">investigation</a>聽into the fire risks associated with hoverboards. In light of numerous fires associated with hoverboards and the actions being taken by major retailers and airlines, hoverboards are not permitted in CU-Boulder residence halls or Graduate and Family Housing. The new policy took effect on Jan. 1.</p>

    <p>In the coming weeks, the campus will be removing the remaining emergency 鈥渂lue light鈥 phones. Over the past year, they have been systematically removed and the final phase is under way. We have not received a legitimate emergency call from these phones in several years.</p>
  • <p>Earlier this morning, a CU undergraduate student was arrested as a suspect in the stabbing death of a fellow student following an earlier altercation off campus. Boulder Police are investigating the crime and I urge anyone with any information to assist them. On behalf of the entire CU-Boulder community, I want to express my condolences to the family and friends of the victim of this senseless act of violence. I also call on our entire campus community to reject violence 鈥 unilaterally 鈥 as a way of resolving disputes.</p>

    <p>As the semester winds down and we look forward to Winter Commencement, it is a good time to reflect on what has been a wild semester here at CU-Boulder. From everyday stresses to global events arriving on our doorstep, we know that many people in our community have been impacted by crisis and trauma.</p>

    <p>University of Colorado Student Government Tri-Execs John Lurquin, Boneth Ahaneku, and I have been very shocked by racist incidents on the University of Missouri campus and offer our steadfast support and continued prayers and well wishes to students there on behalf of the 桃色视频's 30,000+ students.</p>
    <p>While we continue to send forth words of hope and solidarity to those struggling against oppression in communities across the country, the three of us stand ready to act here, at the 桃色视频, to make tangible change for people of color. Please join us in this endeavor.</p>
