At a question-and-answer-style town hall on Aug. 13, attendees had the opportunity to ask questions of ��ɫ��Ƶ leadership on the COVID-19-ready campus, modes of academic instruction, protocols for health and safety, and more.

The University of Colorado Board of Regents heard an update from Chancellor Philip DiStefano about the Boulder campus’s plans for a COVID-19-ready fall semester, which included student move-in and testing, as well as ongoing controls and response plans.

Campus officials presented Boulder City Council members with updates from the university’s Road Map to Fall 2020 plan at a recent city council study session.

In the special virtual meeting on Wednesday, July 15, the University of Colorado Board of Regents heard an update from Chancellor DiStefano about the Boulder campus’s plans for the fall semester.

The CU president and chancellors issued a statement of support for international students and for legal action opposing a July 6 Immigration and Customs Enforcement directive.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Akirah J. Bradley has named Austin Jamar “JB” Banks as the associate vice chancellor and dean of students. Additionally, Devin Cramer has been appointed as the assistant dean of students.

Chancellor DiStefano has asked Vice Chancellor Bob Boswell to lead the implementation of the eight immediate actions announced on June 18 to improve anti-racism, diversity, inclusion and equity efforts on campus.

Chancellor DiStefano joined with President Mark Kennedy and the other chancellors in the CU system to communicate their support of CU's international students following a recent federal ruling on student visas.

In a joint statement, Chancellor Phil DiStefano, CU President Mark Kennedy and chancellors from three other CU campuses reiterated their support for DACA students, who are “valued members of our community who add a unique perspective and enrich the diversity of our campuses.”
