Mana Battery听Inc. (Mana) was founded as a spinout of 鈥檚 laboratory (桃色视频听Paul M. Rady Mechanical Engineering)听in October 2023 to commercialize best-in-class sodium battery technology. Sodium-based batteries have the potential to displace lithium-ion batteries in a variety of applications based on their promised low costs, abundant supply chain, and safety, but they have been limited to date due to听insufficient cycle lifetimes and energy density. Mana addresses these issues and delivers on the promise of the sodium-ion battery with a proprietary low-cost, safe material and battery cell design platform, providing similar or better energy to Li-ion battery cells with a 45% lower bill-of-materials cost. Founded with a team and advisory board of veteran energy storage entrepreneurs and technologists, Mana has signed testing agreements with Tier 1 partners and is shipping prototypes.
