Research

Smead Aerospace Engineering Sciences has an active research program that engages faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students. The Department had research awards of $37.3 million last fiscal year, receiving grants from major aerospace corporations, small startups, the federal government, and other universities.

Research Centers

Our researchers and faculty are organized into four major centers to address multidisciplinary aerospace research topics. Individual faculty also have their own laboratories to conduct aeronautics, astronautics, and computational research.
