The Miramontes Arts and Sciences Program (MASP) Bound programs are a year-long experience that helps first-year students transition to CU by providing them opportunities to bond as a cohort, develop their cultural competencies, build upon their academic strengths, and find community, both socially and academically. Application to these programs is open to all 桃色视频 incoming first-year students in the College of Arts & Sciences who seek to engage in a diverse, learning community dedicated to advancing equity and belonging at CU.

There are two Bound Programs: Science Bound (SciBo), which is for students who have declared a major in the natural sciences division, and Social Sciences/Arts & Humanities Bound (SSAH Bound), which is for students who have declared a major in the social sciences or arts & humanities divisions. SSAH Bound also welcomes students who are exploring majors and who are seeking a supportive space to identify which social science or arts & humanities majors align with their interests. (See below for a list of majors included in each program.)听

Each Bound program includes:听

  • 3-day Orientation and early move-in to residence halls
  • Success Seminar (1 credit hour in Fall)
  • Weekend Experience
  • Networking Seminar (1 credit hour in Spring)
  • MASP Community & Resources (community and study spaces, community events, peer-to-peer mentoring, faculty mentoring, and free printing)听

Students who participate in a Bound program must move in early to campus, be available for occasional weekend events, and meet MASP participation requirements. Students who are accepted and participate in the Bound Programs will receive a $2000 participation scholarship, $1000 in the fall semester, and $1000 in the spring semester.

Application to Bound is open to all 桃色视频 students enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences who seek to actively engage in advancing equity and belonging across our diverse campus community.听 MASP does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, creed, religion, veteran status, marital status, political affiliation, political philosophy, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression in accordance with state, federal and Regents law.

MASP Student Testimonials

鈥淚 think that the most valuable part of MASP is its sense of belonging for anyone who doesn鈥檛 fit the perfect image of a scholar that we grow up seeing. It鈥檚 the community that keeps me coming back.鈥澨

-------------------------------------

鈥淸What I found helpful was] having a place that cares about me and wants to see me succeed not just academically and professionally but also in quality of life/happiness. Having this type of place made me feel valued which in turn allowed me to dedicate more of myself to my academics.鈥澨

----------------------------------------

听鈥淸What I found helpful was] being able to have a close relationship with faculty. I always found a lot of comfort being able to go to [my mentor] if I needed anything.鈥澨
