Summer InstructorsÌý Ìý
K-12Ìýsummer camp and high school class instructors teach one or more weeks during the summer season, depending on their interests andÌýavailability. Instructors are typically STEM graduate students or pre-/in-service/retired teachers who are passionate about sharing their STEM expertise with others.
Teaching AssistantsÌý Ìý
Science Discovery hires undergraduate Teaching Assistants (TAs) to work alongside instructors in the classroom and provideÌýoverall support to K-12 summer camps and high school classes.

Mentoring Opportunity for CU ResearchersÌý Ìý
In this 7-week summer program, CU faculty and graduate students mentor highly motivated high school students interested in gaining real world STEM research experience.

Science Discovery offers high school students and adults of all ages volunteer opportunities to assist with K-12Ìýsummer camps and high school classes.Ìý

Operations and Administrative Staff
Operations and administrative support staff are the backbone of the Science Discovery summerÌýprogram! Most summer programs haveÌýquite a few moving parts, but aÌýcampus-based program provides challenges of a different type. Summer support staff serve in roles such as:
- Registrar
- Materials acquisition, coordination and management
- Materials packing and distribution
- Medication administration and behavioral needs coordination
- Camp logistics coordination
